Of course, really, we’re 5 days into 2017; I hope I’m not too late….regardless, I  move ahead, I hope you do too. I like Paul’s words: forgetting those things behind us; reaching forth to the future; gauging our “progress” by that high standard.

The one “thing” I want to share with you this morning: look for those divine appointments He has for you; hear Him; get out of the religion rut & daily pursue Christ.

Email me [if you want]:

Getting alone with Him daily begins the abandonment process; surrendering to Him daily enables you to maintain abandonment. public-domain-images-free-stock-photos-shoes-walking-feet-grey-gravel-1000x666

“God gave you a brain: use it.” If I’ve heard that once; I’ve heard it a thousand times! This cliché spells the death knell for many aspiring “babes in Him” who sincerely want to “get it right.”

Getting an Christian education; majoring in the Bible, completing a theological thesis, living a good life, tithing religiously, enrolling offspring in a parochial school, teaching in seminary is a far cry from the Spirit-controlled life. Thinking through  faith is a fallacy.

Galatians 2:20 is not optional for the Christ follower.

Many times we expect God to coddle us in a specific way, but He declines. We imagine God to be a “good” doctor who setting us down, gives us a cherry sucker, then, explains out medical options. “Should I give you a free tonsillectomy with your special insurance plan, plus, throw in 1 lobotomy. Or, would you prefer to pay for your pain.”

Regardless, God declines: He may or may not audibly answer you. He may expect you to use your “renewed mind.” Maybe He told you, but you forgot. Maybe you made out His still, small voice: “Trust Me.”
