We must be still before God. The life around us, in this age, is pre‑eminently one of rush and effort. It is the age of the express‑train and electric telegraph. Years are crowded into months, and weeks into days. This feverish haste threatens the religious life. The stream has already entered our churches, and stirred their quiet pools. Meetings crowd on meetings. The same energetic souls are found at them all, and engaged in many good works beside. But we must beware that we do not substitute the active for the contemplative, the valley for the mountain‑top. Neither can with safety be divorced from the other. The sheep must go in and out. The blood must come back to the heart to be re‑charged, and fitted to be impelled again to the extremities.

We must make time to be alone with God. The closet and the shut door are indispensable.

Good morning Father; Welcome Holy Spirit; I love You Jesus!

Sitting before You; waiting for You; Being quiet.

With You, options are open; in this present quiet, anything is possible. [Because] with You “all things are possible.”

(of course, there are always busyness tasks that may be done, but with You the sky’s the limit….

“The sky’s the limit.

Inf. there is no upper limit. I can afford it. The sky’s the limit. You can do anything you set your mind to, Billy. The sky’s the limit.

So much for trivia [lexicography] Father; You’re really the focus of today’s “prayer.”  It’s just that as i wait here before You; I have at my finger tips on a keyboard…of course, You know what this means…You’re omniscient. 🙂

Waiting, single-mindedly, is an impossibility with me, but, with YOU all things are possible!. Thanks!

Many times we expect God to coddle us in a specific way, but He declines. We imagine God to be a “good” doctor who setting us down, gives us a cherry sucker, then, explains out medical options. “Should I give you a free tonsillectomy with your special insurance plan, plus, throw in 1 lobotomy. Or, would you prefer to pay for your pain.”

Regardless, God declines: He may or may not audibly answer you. He may expect you to use your “renewed mind.” Maybe He told you, but you forgot. Maybe you made out His still, small voice: “Trust Me.”

My Thoughts💭

Dear readers, please could you pray for my lovely wife Sarah. We’ve just received the date for her eye surgery (Friday 15th Nov 12:00 UK time) and Sarah’s worried as this eye has lots of other complications from previous operations. So i’d like to gather as many brothers & sisters together to pray for her!

I’m posting this a week early as i thought if you only get weekly notifications then you still have time to join us in prayer! 🙂

Matthew 18:20 The Voice

For when two or three gather together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.

Mind's Seat

Today, the Holy Spirit moved in my heart to share my thoughts about The Cross – A Message to America.

The Cross does contain an offensive message, but it offends as it calls us to a life of love and hope, that all the riches of the world cannot offer. I saw a wealthy man cry because he felt so poor in his soul.  He had every material thing he could ever want – houses, jewelry, a luxury yacht and the lust of many women. He turned to drugs and alcohol to ease the agonizing pain in his soul. He lost all of his wealth to the personal hell of his addictions, dealing with drug pushers to get his next fix.

The tavern ministry team I was on accompanied him to our church at the time, which was The Salvation Army North York Temple. We led him in the…
